Long Platform

SPONSORSHIPS & TRANSPARENCY

I would obtain sponsorships from businesses and organizations, such as Red Bull. Additionally I would make it easy for the McGill student body to see what businesses the SUS receives money from, in order to uphold sustainable and equitable practices. Furthermore, I would actively share the list of sponsors with student councils, allowing councils to reach out to organizations, creating new connections and opportunities for students looking for professional experience and sponsorship.

EXPANDING SPONSORSHIP PACKAGE

The Management Undergraduate Society has a sponsorship portal, and package, allowing interested organizations and companies to easily fund and sponsor events and organizations. As VP External I would expand the package that Bob Chang created, adding departments and clubs to the list of SUS events. This would allow sponsors to see what goes on at McGill and reach out to the student initiatives that interest them, resulting in more funding and exposure for students at McGill.

MORE CLUB RESOURCES

Clubs are an integral part of the student body, I would aid these student led initiatives by putting them in contact with companies and professional organizations outside of McGill. This would provide not only sponsorship opportunities, but a way for McGill students to be greater than the McGill bubble.

AFTER HOURS

After Hours was introduced this year, and thus far it has been a massive success! As VP External I would continue the management of this event with a capable and enthusiastic team of students. Additionally, I would continue to reach out to student councils to host After Hours, letting the student body share its creativity and spirit!
