Long Platform

As VP Sustainability, my four primary responsibilities to the Science Undergraduate Society would be ensuring mental health, equity, charity and sustainability among the Science/Arts & Science students, however I would also like to introduce a few new initiatives I plan on bringing to the SUS outside the scope of the current portfolio.

ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE POLICY

-I plan to work with the incoming VP Finance to conduct a list of ethical businesses with well developed social and environmental practices that the SUS will be able purchase from for any events or initiatives being held.

SUSTAINABLE WORKPLACE CERTIFICATION

- McGill offers a sustainable workplace certification meant to challenge staff and students throughout the University to foster healthier and more environmentally-friendly practices
- Further I plan on push for all SUS events to uphold this standard as well through the McGill Sustainable Events Certification

SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVE FUND

- I plan to create a fund that would be distributed on the SUS website and weekly listservs allowing all members of the SUS to voice their ideas for initiatives for the SUS and the committees that fall under VP Sustainability portfolio in order to support and fund these individuals with their initiatives.

COLLABORATION WITH SSMU

- If elected, I plan on working on existing relationships with SSMU by working with and supporting the incoming SSMU Executives with Sustainability, Mental Health and Social Justice initatives on campus.

Thank you for your attention and I hope to serve as your VP Finance next year!
